Mythical Creatures and The Architecture of Feeling

Wed 25 March 2026 09:00 am - 02:30 pm

Begin the day with an engaging guided tour of The Architecture of Feeling, an exhibition curated by Megan Monte. Drawing from our collection, the exhibition presents ceramics, works on paper, and photographs in intimate and playful tableaux that explore how emotion is held, transformed, and revealed through form and gesture - where pleasure and restraint meet in a quiet theatre of feeling.

Following the tour, students will take part in a hands‑on ceramic workshop where they will learn foundational hand‑building techniques to design and sculpt their own ceramic mythical creature. This engaging session encourages creativity, imagination, and confidence in working with clay.

Please note: All clay and tools are provided, however, firing is not included. Schools or students may arrange firing independently, (this activity is ideal for schools with access to a kiln).
