Sculpture Using Found Objects
Join us for a hands-on workshop inspired by acclaimed Wiradjuri artist Karla Dickens and her powerful exhibition, Rise and Fall. This program is for Aboriginal students.
Students will begin with a guided tour, exploring Dickens’ use of found objects to tell stories of resilience, history, and identity.
Following the tour, students will create their own artworks using salvaged and repurposed materials, drawing inspiration from Dickens’ distinctive practice.
This workshop encourages creative storytelling through assemblage, inviting participants to reflect on themes of strength, transformation, and the layered histories embedded in everyday objects.
